Aim

Introducing students to the problems of earthquake engineering and seismic analysis of structures, as well as the training the participants for defining the input seismic parameters and for implementation analysis of the structures response under earthquake load.

Outcome

Introduction to Earthquake engineering, Principles of seismic analysis, Analysis of input data, modeling of structures in seismic design, Basics of nonlinear dynamic analysis of structures, Specific problems in steel, reinforced concrete and masonry buildings, Fundamentals of passive and active control of structures, Overview of current seismic codes , Current software in the field of earthquake engineering.
