As part of the course Concrete Technology and Construction of Concrete Structures, attended in the third semester of the Master’s academic studies by students of the Structural Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering modules, a professional visit was organized to Doka and Sika in Šimanovci, as well as to the construction site of the National Stadium.

During the visit to DOKA, students had the opportunity to become familiar with the formwork and scaffolding systems of this renowned manufacturer. They toured the showroom, where they were able to see various system types, listen to expert explanations regarding their application on construction sites, and attend a presentation introducing major projects in which the company’s engineers have participated.

At Sika, students visited the production facilities for manufacturing construction materials and the laboratories for material testing. On this occasion, they learned about the production technology and quality control procedures applied to Sika’s wide range of construction products. During a professional presentation, the company’s engineers also showcased representative projects where advanced technical solutions based on Sika products were implemented.

With the support of MPM Construction Plus, a visit to the construction site of the National Stadium was also organized. There, students had the opportunity to observe various stages of reinforced concrete structural works under real conditions and to speak with the engineers supervising the construction process.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our hosts from Doka, Sika, and MPM Construction Plus for their warm welcome, professional presentations, and dedicated time. Special thanks are extended to Doka for covering the transportation costs for all participating students.
