To improve students’ understanding and knowledge about concept and implementation steps of PPP projects in transport infrastructure (roads and railways primarily, but ports and airports as well).
After completition of the course students will understand and be able to work on implementation of PPP projects in transport infrastructure.
Prioritization and Selection of PPP Projects; Feasibility studies. Performance Based Contracting (PBC) and different forms of Public Private Partnership (PPP). Risks in PPP projects: allocation, mitigation. Selection of the best private partner. Forms of contractual arrangements. Financial assessment of PPP projects, including the use of modern financial simulation models. Contract Management: the public sector functions during the construction and operation periods of a project, including eventual transfer back to the public sector.
