Aim

To familiarize students with specific problems of load limit state load of elements and connections and limit states of metallic and composite structures of steel and concrete.

Outcome

Ability of students to solve complex problems of border states in the design of metallic and composite structures, as well as in the scientific research in this area.

Contents

Introduction. A modern approach to the modeling of steel structures for the analysis of limit state capacity. The influence of imperfections and realistic feature links to global analysis of metallic structures. Global stability of frames. Specific problems of stability of the carrier surface. Limit state bond and shear joints in composite steel and concrete. Limit states in the construction of buildings and bridge construction (pedestrian, road and railway bridges). Limit state of fatigue.
