Teaching Experience:

Prof. Jovanovic has gained a substantial teaching experience at the graduate and postgraduate levels. He has been teaching courses in River Engineering, Inland Waterways and ports, Flood Management, Numerical Methods in Hydraulic Engineering, and Transport Processes (some courses in English). Teaching a course in Integrated Flood Management, he has actively participated in the postgraduate e-learning program "Educate!", jointly hosted by the Universities of Athens and Belgrade. He has mentored numerous diploma, master theses, and doctoral (PhD) dissertations. He is the author of four textbooks and several lecture notes in Serbian and English.


Professional Expertise & Research:

Prof. Jovanovic has published around 160 scientific and professional papers in Serbian and English and has been extensively involved in research, design, and consulting in the fields of River Engineering and Inland Waterways and ports infrastructure. His expertise covers Fluvial Hydraulics, Open-Channel 1D, 2D, and 3D flows, Sediment Transport, Fluvial Morphology, River Training, and Inland Waterways. He is the author of several software tools for research and educational purposes. He has participated in several national and international research projects, such as the multiyear projects COST Action, and Flood Management with the University of Hamburg-Harburg. He is a reviewer for the national journal "Vodoprivreda", and international journals "Urban Water", "Water Science and Technology", and "Advances in Water Resources". He is the author or co-author of numerous design projects, studies, and reviews in the fields of River Engineering, and Inland Waterways and Ports. For many years he was a permanent member of the examination board at the Serbian Chamber of Engineers.
